I noticed a trailer today that I haven't seen before. It was carrying a container but what struck me as unusual was that at the rear of if was a value similar in dimension to those on grain trailers and suchlike. also, there were cylindrical tubes running the length of the trailer, just below the load bed, one each side I presume.

can anyone tell me why this trailer would have such a valve on the back of it and what the cylindrical tubes are for.

cheers.

Some Shipping containers can be used for carrying bulk items such as grain or liquids, the pipes are attached to the container and the goods blown or sucked out

I can't for the life of me thing of the program but there was something on the TV not so long ago about how most wine is brought in to the UK in a big plastic bag inside a shipping container and then sucked out & bottled in the UK

Would probably been one of the trailers used by UBC for bulk powder containers, usually orange in colour
