Renault Trafic / Vivaro Wheels - What alternatives are there

Help needed.

I have a 2006 Renault Trafic, and will shortly need to replace at least 2 of the tyres.

Being on a bit of a budget at this time of the year, it may be cost effective to browse the dreaded haunt of eBay on the hunt for a set of used alloys with decent treaded tyres.

My question is, knowing that some BMW wheels share the same fitment, are car wheels / tyres suitable for commercial use? I do lug a fair bit of furniture around, so are there any known issues doing this?

Are there any other car fitments that will fit a Trafic?

If you really want cost effective, just buy some Continental VanCo tyres. My fronts lasted 40,000 miles and I only swapped them as one of them got an irreparable puncture and I thought it best to swap both at once. The rears are still going strong at 44,000.

Wheel wise, keep the steels and powder coat them black - everything looks badass on black steels!

Commercial hub studs and nuts are bigger than Cars. The wheels might go on, but you won't get a nut on.

Fitting car alloys to a van would fk up the insurance as it's not a recognised mod.

We have Dynamics wheels on our work Trafic, needed a 1mmm spacer to clear the caliper though.

You must use wheels & tyres that are weight rated for the capacity of your van, regardless of whether you use that capacity or not.

Just get the alloys from one of the top of the range vans

They eat tyres on car alloys unless you can find some commercial spec tyres that will fit
