Spotted 70's bonneted MAN

I spotted a 70's bonneted MAN 4x4 on the M6 (N of Lancaster) on Saturday in E.ON livery, must be a bit of a rarity over here.

The MAN normal control was still made and exported as "Completely knocked down" kits for countries such as South Africa as recently as 1990. I worked for MAN in 1982 and regularly sold 240DHK 6x4's for use by Petroleum companies. We also sold 4x4 and 6x6 variants as did Mercedes Benz.

However you are correct that such a thing would indeed be rare here in UK.
