Hey All,

My little 3 year old son is mad on Road Sweepers, Bin Trucks, Recovery trucks etc. Basically most types of commercial trucks.

Does anyone know of any museums that have the above where he can go and have a proper look? Ideally North West, but happy to travel and make a weekend of it.

I did think about hiring a road sweeper, but that's probably too much hassle smile

Thanks!

Not much help to you now I don't think, but The British Commercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland would be my first choice around these parts.

I think they only open February till October though, and the sites I've just looked at seem to confirm this, though are a bit contradictory.

Good luck finding something for him to look at. smile

if you fancy a trip to Scotland, The Malcolm Group have their own 'private' museum. Obviously all W H Malcolm related trucks trhough their history but they have some recovery kit/ tippers in there too. If you ask ABM niclely he might have someone show you round :-)
