I've seen quite a few Sprinter van based artics on the roads around here - mainly on Dutch plates towing trailers of flowers.

I saw a KW W900L around here a few years ago but something didn't look quite right at more than a glance. After a second look it was a Merc Sprinter. They had done a good job of it, kind of like the real thing had been put in a hot wash.

I served an apprenticeship with Leyland-DAF back 'in the day' and we used to look after 4 x LDV 350's fitted with 4.0 V8's used by the RAF bomb disposal unit, and a couple of LDV's converted to mini-tractors for a marketing company who used to drag ad trailers around London - never saw the two combined!

We used to fight over test drives of the RAF van's, it was easy to get them spinning their rear wheels on a roundabout, and with the timing a couple of degrees out it was possible to get a 2 ft flame out of the side exhaust under heavy acceleration..............ah, them were the days!

LDV had some edge on Fords too, Ford Transits (as far as I know) never had a V8 model and LDV had airsupension WAY back on the old 400 series

Not sure what MAM this silver one would have...
