At least you get to drive wherever you like and no deadlines.

They're all the same. Crap rates, stupid targets and 30+ days payment from invoice that they will always find something to dispute on. Find a local based courier company to run out of and try to steal some decent regular runs off of their customers plus blag some backloads, only way to make decent money moving stuff with a van.

I currently work for Yodel and I an say self employed drivers have mixed views working here. Basically as long as you get a busy run (best to aim for a town run) you should be well off. You are going to get 50-60p per parcel (not drop) if its the same all over the country and you are going to need a less than 4 year old van.

Yodel may have a lot of bad press but it depends on what depot you work out of. My depot happens to be good and our service is sometimes top in the country.

So basically what I am saying is aim for a busy run, if not it might not be worth it.
