just the other day i loaded in france for a delivery in bradford that evening , my day was going just swell despite the shocking weather encountered whilst crossing the channel . i arrive at my delivery point at a new pro-logis park to be given a grilling by a wannabe police man. ( the usual questions) . This was nowt compared to when i tryed to leave , was i empty , where had i come from , name , reg etc. But then, where am i now going? At 10pm at night...... I wouldnt answer as i wasnt employed by them or any of there affiliated companys , they refused to let me leave untill they knew where i would be heading that night . .... On asking a fellow ph'er i was told that this is getting common and it all to do with the enviroment and food miles etc. what the fk has it got to do with them..... if i was to leave and be loaded with a high value product , i tell mister security , him and his other eastern european mates come to where i have had to inform them i would be and kick the crap out of me and take the load. Bonkers

Just make up some nonsense destination for them to write down.

1, to load loose ping pong balls for china
2, to collect a load of dogs for barking

You could always try being pleasant & see whether they become pleasant in return. Give it a try sometime.

When confronted with a jumped up jobsworth prick who won't open the gate until you have ticked his ticky boxes I am polite and I am pleasant up to a certain point.

By the way, did I say "oh, I ALWAYS tell them lies or tell them to fk off and let me out" ?
At no point did I suggest I am rude all the time and never polite so I have no idea why you think I might need to "give it a try sometime." It's almost like you think that my default position is one of fury or anger, It is not.

I was replying to the OP, the OP stated his rant quite clearly, he was not allowed out until he had answered questions put to him by someone with no authority over him and he felt the questions were unnecessary and could indeed put a driver at risk if the questioner was an unscrupulous bd (which in this world is not unlikely).

You don't know me, so don't attack me or try to lecture me on the basis of a misunderstood reply to something I have experienced and found to be at best an inconvenience.
