Truck Driving Experience in Northampton / Milton Keynes Area

So, the OH's dad is 70 next month, and he really loves trucks. He has various display cabinets of OO scale models that he's bought and built, he built a "model village" (some would call it a train set) with a goods / lorry bias, when we went on holiday he asked us to take lots of photos of "those big Ozzy trucks" for him, you get the idea.

We joined him in to the Stobart Club for Father's day and were hoping to get him on a tour for his birthday but it's all fully booked. So another idea we had, is to see if there is a truck driving experience in the Northampton / MK area where he can spend a couple of hours having a go in a artic with an instructor? I'm aware that such a thing exists up at Elvington and I think possibly Kemble too, but they are a bit of a trek from where he is.

Any suggestions / pointers / input gratefully received!

If you are really struggling to find a way to get him to have a play with one, get hold of a local backstreet hgv driving school. If the ones around here are anything to go by they'll probably let him have a muck about in one for a while on some private land (industrial estate out of the way) for the price of a lesson.
