The old FH is the only truck I'd be happy with if my Scania got replaced.

This new one looks amazing, if it drives as well as the outgoing FH Volvo are on to a winner

I've seen it, still abit undecided, but think it will grow on me. Still my favourite truck to drive over the last 20 years was a 57 plate xl globetrotter with the I-shift box. Only thing that let it down was the cab was to small IMHO for a flagship model, especially with the windscreen rake. The super space cab daf was far superior for living in, especially when your away for months at a time! Judging by this new one, Volvo have sorted that rake. The way the cab goes up and over from the top of the screen reminds me of a big stralis. Would like a nose round the inside of this new one smile

Its an acquired taste looks wise IMO, i'm really not too keen on that vast expanse of plastic on the front there... Gives it a face only a mother could love IMO!...

Must say the interior does look nice though, they've done a good job there, certainly looks logically laid out with decent looking materials.
Going to be an interesting head to head between this and the equiv Merc Actros for sure though. I'd have a Gigaspace MP4 over a big Globetrotter anyday!

Must say MANs new TGX sure looks good though. I think the "official" unveiling for that is soon too... smile

i agree, think the merc is the 1 i'd plump for on the looks department.
we have a couple of the xxl m.a.n s at our place. good looking moor, big cab, but crap auto and a dustbin lid sized steering wheel.

Love Volvos and that looks great. The dashboard is a HUGE MASSIVE step forward on what they have now.

I'm hoping that it soon filters down to the FM's that we run. Our 60 regs won't be too far off getting replaced now @circa 350000kms
