I've just witnessed a Dave Pollard truck come through a residential area in Bridgwater, on its door handles. Then have to lock its wheels up to stop when it didn't notice red traffic lights on a cross roads. If anyone is reading this from Pollards look at your drivers tacho at 8.52pm apprx. How he didn't kill anyone is a mystery. I know the pressure is on drivers, however your name is in five foot letters down the side. Not good PR when he broadsides a family car with kids in it is it?? Muppet!

Just a note, trailer wheels lock up easily when they are unladen due to the load sensing valve on the trailer brakes

I appreciate the point you are making, it wasn't the case in this case. I was watching him because of the speed he came around the bend, and couldn't work out why he wasn't slowing down for the red light.....then he piled the anchors on hard!

The driver of the car behind looked like new pants top tomorrows shopping list....I'm going to phone the company in the morning, a quick look at his taco will tell them what they need to know either way.

sorry but i really have to disagree with you , if load sensing valve is working properley you should never have the trlr wheels lock up , that is what load sensing valves are there for

I change trailers a few times a day sometimes and now and then I've picked up a trailer loaded from a factory and the brakes are ok. After I've tipped, sometimes the load/brake sensor plays up and on the way back the wheels lock up. It's a careful ride back and using the brakes sparingly till you get back to the yard.
