A colleague ran over an oblong drain grid, part of a continuous line of grids in a truck park. It went near vertical and speared a bigger hole in the bottom of the fuel tank. The driver and mate did very well to drop the trailer before the fuel emptied out of the tank!
Non-repairable, new tank. Oooft!

I had just filled up with diesel before arriving at this site. Lost the entire 500L!
I had to wait five hours to be recovered!
The site managers were all very apologetic because the lump of concrete should’ve been cleared away last Friday when it was spilt. I was the one and only person to drive over it and they very quickly broke it up and got rid of it once my damage had been caused.
My boss will be claiming the cost of the replacement tank and the lost fuel back from the site owners as well.

Saw someone do that with a powder tanker a few months ago, tore the valve clean off of the bottom of the tank and dropped half the load on the end of the weighbridge ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
The caravan club used to knock out the bolts holding the tank straps and nick the whole tank full of diesel around here, f
k knows how many of them it needed to lift them into the back of the van.

That one was pretty easy tbh, its when both mirrors fold in from the bushes and go a third of way across the screen on both sides that it starts getting tight ![biglaugh](/inc/images/biglaugh.gif)
This was one of the tightest places I collected milk from, because of the built up Cornish hedges the trailer pretty much got dragged around the tightest corners even with rear steer!
The instructions from the office were basically, we know how tight it is, and expect to lose an arch or two off the trailer when going there, so just have a walk round and see whats missing once you get to the farm!
Watch till the very end to see what I was driving
