I thought this could do with a wider audience, as the engine will be quite common in many Vauxhalls, and the PCV fault is known as a bit of an engine killer.

Some shed fixing content, my DiL's Astra GTC 1.4 Turbo. Very common issues with the PCV on these engines (A14NET), the silicon valve in the manifold dies, causing huge pressure issues, breaking the oil/air separator in the cam cover. Vauxhall parts would cost more than the car is worth, so I've fixed it with an Ebay Manifold, and Autodoc Cam Cover. The manifold needed modifying, to accept the fuel rail vacuum hose, not required on US cars.

Ran beautifully on test drive this morning, so fingers crossed it does a job for a bit longer smile

Should say Astra GTC, how do I edit that anyone? smile
