Does anyone know where on earth I can purchase inspection lamps similar to the one in the photo?

I cannot seem to find them any where other than this old one on eBay that hasn't even got a proper UK plug on!

I’ve never seen those in 240v, they were all 12v as far as I know. That would explain the lack of proper UK plug.

Any reason you want this type instead of a better LED cordless one?

There’s one on EBay, complete with the transformer.

This. I’ve got one tucked away in a toolbox that’s 12v. Haven’t touched it for a decade since the onslaught of all things LED.

Always preferred this type tbh. Still have a battered one so I’m tempted to replace it!

I used that sort as well. Always fitted ‘rough service’ bulbs. I still have one but it now fitted with an LED bulb.

It’s just the fact that you have to keep putting them on charge, sometimes the old things work better…

I bought one these: https://www.rsis.co.uk/automotive-c7/service-tools...

I 'borrowed' a 12V PSU from work, and it does trick

Thanks that's the kind of lamp I'm after, would be nice if it was 240v though...

I have a 240v one that looks exactly like that on a wall (or roof) mounted reel, but I couldn't tell you where to get one, mine is 20+ years old.

Have more than one, they're that cheap it makes sense.

No idea why you'd want one

The modern variable brightness rechargeable wand type are so much better

Circa £10, I have 2 so one is always on charge

My son has one that runs on Dewalt batteries, so you just change them when they run out. That said, a 5AH battery lasts for a whole day - at least 12 hours.
