Hello, please can anyone tell me what this is?
I'm going through my late husband's workshop and getting rid of some bits that I have no use for and not sure how to describe it to advertise it.
Thank you smile

It looks like a hydraulic pump to me, but I know nothing about them.

Google lense says:

Not a clue if true or not, clever if Google lense is correct.

^^^^ Wot 'e said.

Definitely a hydraulic pump, likely an after-market Power Steering pump, although the application is a guess.

Does have that sort of look to it. In my experience these usually come in a bank and it's odd to see one on its own, but perhaps there's some application where it makes sense to use a single stage.

I would also say scavenge pump from a dry sump system. There may well be another inlet behind the bracket and the outlets are joined in an internal gallery. That would allow pick-ups for either end of the sump. Some systems have a single pickup though, Caterhams are one example of this.

Google images ai definitely has it wrong on this occasion.
