I have a 2017 Peugeot Boxer van. The low speed fan fuse blew, so I replaced the fuse, but it went again (at the point I would expect the fan to come on).

I have had a look at the fan today, the high speed one spins freely and does not wobble. The low speed fan spins, but has about 10mm of wobble when you grab the fan and pull it forwards and backwards vertically.

I am presuming that is when its blowing the fuse, but before I fork out for a new one, do you agree?

Thanks

Electric motors tend to draw a lot of current when they are held stationary when wanting to spin. If the low speed fan is stalling because a loose bearing is allowing it to foul on some part that does not move, then the fan will be drawing a lot of current and causing the fuse to blow. It could be that the fan is starting to spin and then the thrust is propelling it into a position where it fouls, then that could also cause the fuse to blow.
