Which 3D scanner should I get?
Discussion
I'm wondering if anyone has some thoughts on the Revopoint metroX 3d scanner that's on Kickstarter at the moment and the Creality Raptor. Both are blue laser scanners, but the revopoint is a lot cheaper than the raptor.
I'm going to be mostly scanning mechanical parts (suspension parts, brakes, engine, etc) with the occasional exterior body panel, interior parts, and hopefully (way down the road) the complete inside of a car to develop a roll cage
I also know both require a strong computer, so I don't think that will be a deciding factor.
Thanks in advance!!

I would suggest looking up a guy on YT called "Superfast Matt".
He's an automotive engineer who builds his own vehicles, and uses 3D scanning a lot in the process to design suspension components. He's reviewed many scanners over the last few years and as he doesn't shy away from broadcasting his mistakes I'd suggest they are honest reviews.
I realise you were asking about two specific scanners but probably worth a watch anyway as it may help inform your decisions.
