Some more information here may be helpful (I'm not a mechanic)

Petrol or diesel?
Does the engine turn over?
What is the battery voltage?
What have you checked so far?
Has it got fuel?
If petrol, does it have a spark?
Are you using the correct key or is it a replacement?
When was the last time it was running?
Has anything been done to it since it was last running?

Have you or anyone else got a code reader to try on it?

Check the battery, it should be around 12.6 or 7 volts if fully charged, if not charge it overnight fully.

I think your best bet is finding a reputable garage rather than a forum. However I'd hazard a guess and say the BSI module or an issue with key / immobiliser.

Looks like the BSI is a common issue so maybe try reading these

Have you tried charging/replacing the battery? I had a very similar issue on my '08 Berlingo recently, not happened again after a jump start and battery recharge so seems to be low battery voltage related.
