Fiesta radio issue

It doesn't surprise me, although I can't offer any specific solution... but sometimes strange things happen when a car is powered down and powered back up; it is the reason that we now never disconnect the power from a car, always backing it up (through the OBD socket) when removing a battery to keep all those ics powered up and memories alive. It may seem unnecessay and over the top, but it potentially saves head scratching/time/cost/embarassment. I learnt my lesson years ago on a Metro that had to be towed to the Rover dealer to have its base engine program reinstalled... merely losing a radio security code or pre-sets can be the least of your problems.

Thanks, yes I agree. When I was a youth disconnecting batteries prevented problems when working on a car... now it seems better to leave it connected and take the risks!Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
