Hi
One of my rear doors won't lock. I have tried to attach a video to show the issue but it won't let me. The locking mechanism does move a few mm when I press my key fob however not all the way. I can force it with my key so the door stays locked but it won't unlock with the key fob and only unlocks by pulling the handle from inside the car.
The car is a Corsa Ecoflex SE 1.4 2016.
I have sprayed WD40 in there should I keep doing that or try something else? As it moves slightly I suspect it isn't the wiring but could be wrong.
Cheers

Givenj that it seems to be trying, I'd suspect it is a mechanical issue rather than an electrical one. You may need to take the door card off to get access to the bit of the mechanism that is sticking. It could be due to dried out grease, dirt, corrosion, or some combination.

Removed the door and no luck. Tried to get to the mechanism to see if something was in the way but it is not accessible. I actually find a broken wire (brown with yellow stripe) in the section that goes in to the door, repaired that but it didn't make a difference.

I don’t specifically know about Corsas but it sounds like the actuator wants replacing .

I wouldn’t spray WD40 into anything lock related myself, either graphite, or a wet lube with PTFE in it.
