If your DPF is blocked or needs a regen, resetting the code won't last long.

Are you looking for a tool to run a forced regen, reset the warning light or map it out altogether? Those options are reasonable, pointless and illegal respectively.

You might be better off asking on a Vauxhall forum rather than piston heads.
Vauxhall's don't generally get talked about on here. (Well not in a good way)

Typically they are measure using a delta pressure sensor, that should be able to see that there is a new filter fitted because the pressure differential will change. I am not sure what needs resetting.

The countdown to life of filter has expired. It needs to be told it has a new filter

How exactly do you fix short journeys causing a DPF to block?

You buy a car better suited to your needs, eg a petrol one, or else you take the long road home.

I've never seen one blocked from short trips, everyone that we have seen has been as a result of something else.
