Dodgy starter causes engine to stall?
Discussion
The car is a 2.5 CRD Limited Chryser Voyager Startech (the best looking 7 seater, in the world).
Gist of the problem-
Car stalled and wouldn't crank, there is no reaction from the starter motor, no click, no nothing.
The first two times it happened, the starter eventually sprang back into action after many start up attempts and the engine
started up.
Third time, it refused to do anything and eventually the battery died.
Whilst charging, I took a look at the starter motor solenoid, there was grey corrosion on the connector. I cleaned it off as best I could
and the car started first time.
I had trouble-free motoring for around two weeks when the problem happened again- car stalled and no reaction from the starter
motor. scraped the connector again and it sprang back into life.
I'm thinking the starter is related to the stalling problem?
What say you?
