Doubt that anyone can provide a definite answer to this...

My N reg Ford Scorpio Bugeye is a 2.9i 12V, whereas most are the Cossie or the DOHC. All of the Bugeye models use OBD2 on a conventional 16 pin socket. However, the 12V still has the same socket but has OBD1 protocol which was always handled on a 3 pin connection on previous models.

I bought the ACR4 with a full set of modules and cables and I know full well that I have been able to get an engine read as well as an ABS read with it. I am now in the situation that having previously had the error "ABS controller" and replaced it, I can't get an update. A few of the cable / module combinations will claim that the codes are available but they are nonsense.

The result is 35 errors which include just about every possible fault! Now I know that the ABS largely works because it passes the static test and only fails on the rolling test, pointing to sensors.

I would like to know what combination of cable and module to use, even SP don't know and anyone else I ask is convinced that it can only be OBD2 and it isn't!
