Anyone know where I can get the clamps that usually come with induction kits and stuff, one's that go round the inlet pipe/induction kit and have a tab you can attach a bracket to?

Kindo like the one in the bottom right of this picture:
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDUwWDYwMA==/z/Zk4AAOxyY...

Or something similar anyway... Could do with a couple different sizes for different things, can't seem to find them anywhere though!

The secret code to enter into Google image search is hose clip bracket.

Thanks... Yea, it often is just about knowing key words to search! lol

I found something like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351091632997?_trksid=p20...

Which looks ideal but can't seem to find anyone in the UK selling them.

And the bracket in this kit would do the job:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251692315917?_trksid=p20...

But A) don't need that whole kit, and B) it's in bloody china!

Must be someone in the UK that stocks these typed of brackets...

The reason for those parts to a limited offer might be that the design might compromise the function of the hose band clip; ie. securing the hose on a rigid part. Typically, the designer will add another part when the hose-rigid assembly needs to be attached elsewhere.

Those parts you found look more for tinkering than for new designs. So, while at it, get yourself some sheet metal of your favoured material, a bench vice, drill and a file; and tailor them to suit your jubilee clip and hose diameter. To shape the diameter, use some tube/solid steel bits that suit the diameter.

The one with the screw design is a copy of our product that is supplied to Automotive for Air bags and some brake line applications. The Metal looks cheap and no doubt the edges will eventually wear away the silicone hose if used.

OP what is it your looking for? do you want a adjustable clamp like a worm drive ( jubilee) etc or do you want a single use 1 ear stainless 7mm or 9mm band. What application is it for and what Marque?

The part with the stud wont be in the uk unless its fake or a copy from Norma-Mikalor that some back street trader has knocked up.

Which is the one with the screw design?

Norma also has some products to attach round shapes elsewhere (no hose clip function though): http://www.normagroup.com/norma.nsf/res/NORMA_HMK_...

The first one somebody posted from Ebay.

Our patten products have it welded on not so its all one piece. don't get me wrong Norma do some great stuff we used to deal direct with them. There trying to increase there Uk presence in the WDC sector by taking on Jubilee

But for the seal aspect and general usage the Single ear will hold and seal better. Worm drives never have a fully sealed unit due the screw housing.

Thanks for the hose-to-pipe-connection market insight. Do you have a recommendation for the OP where he can get a product like Normafix K or similar in household quantities?

From what he has describe i would look at a P clip what can be bolted on to a bracket otherwise you may have to speak to some companies like Flowtech who deal with small qtys and you may be able to build up a few sizes once you know what parts you require.

like this?

Maybe if you have a picture of the application your putting it on will give me an idea.

Wow... Never thought it would be possible to learn so much about clamps/clips without even learning where to get them. lol

I'm hoping to use one to secure my air filter (whcih is 3" + the width of the silicone) and it would also be handy to help secure my catch can... Those P-clips would be ideal but they only seem to go up to 40mm or so.

Also, I would have a god a knocking something up but me and the vice had a little accident last weekend:

Ahh

so its about 75mm OD with the hose?

ill have a look on monday in work to see what might do the trick. Im sure we have some large p clips about, You could try steel banding with a screw lock but it won't be able to attach to anything. Or you could find a saddle or make one and use a normal single ear hose clamp or jubilee. Again ill have a look monday and i will Pm you with some details if thats ok?

Nice one charlie!... I've actually just found some p-clips on ebay that go up to 75mm

I've measured my catch can and it is exactly 75mm, so that's perfect obviously! . . I was wrong about the induction kit though, it's 80mm ID with 4mm either side of silicone so we're looking at 88mm there.

Ahh, I checked in work the p clips we had as ex stock have gone so can't help in that way,

I had a look at some data sheets and. I would struggle to offer anything that would be able attach on to something unless it's a homemade weld to attach

The steel banding and screw locks will fit the 88mm as they go to any length and we do have some single ear 7mm band clamps that will seal.

But if you have a look at Oetiker wink products and if there's anything you want to try give me A shout and I'll get something sorted for you.
