Mondeo 1.8 cambelt, or not.
Discussion
I have a 1.8 Mondeo, 2003. In the service book there is a record of a new belt at 51k, so it's due another. However I can't find one. It looks like a chain driven cam. On the drivers side of the engine there is a serpentine belt that goes round everything, PAS, alty, AC, you name it. But the cams are all within the oily bits and there's no room for cam pulleys that I can see. How can I confirm this? Have I been terminally dim or has someone pulled a fast one with the service book?
Some discussion here which suggests 2003 should be a chain.

You could try ringing your local Ford dealer's parts dept with your reg/VIN number & see what comes up.
