I feel sorry for this little thing,i just cant get my finger out and finish the 'cosmetic' side of the restoration!
Anyhoo,i was going out starting it up regularly and it fired up first time all the time.Ive been severely distracted over the last few months by my motorcycle and cars on the road, four months went by and the cars dead when you turn the key, instrument panel lights up though.
Things just feel dead when you turn the key,no fuel pump whirring, not even a click from starter solenoid?Slight dampness has got into the garage incidentally.Im going to check starter connections but whats the link between no starter noise and no fuel pump noise at the same time??Thanks!!

Its a brand new battery, but you are correct though by trying to make out im thick as st and i would try to start a car with a completely discharged battery.

Plugs out. Squirtvsome WD40 in each bore. Carefully try to turn engine over on the crank pulley with a socket on a bar.

Check earth straps to engine and body.
