windscreen wipers

So I was looking at trying the replace just the rubber blade part, rather than the whole wiper. I've seen you can get reels of rubber blades on FleaBay, question is, is it a one size fits all?

Also, can you actually replace just the rubber blade bit on all wipers?

Some you can some you can't, mainly older cars you can and often have to but! i'd only use decent blades, the off the roll crap is just that, crap!
I often have to buy decent wipers (bosch ect) just to use the blade on a customers car cos replacements are hard/impossable to find, cheap ones like rainyday will last a month or so before they start to smear then a few months later the rubber hardens or fails off
