Optimate4 & slightly tired battery

I'm hoping this is just my battery getting a little old, but still in pretty good health....
My Optimate 4 has started showing Green+Yellow status on a regular basis, early signs that battery could be fading. When i disconnect the battery it reverts back to Green only, however it does take a small pulse charge at EVERY half hours' charge cycle. So i'm thinking (hoping) that rather than the car developing a short, the battery has faded slightly and that the *normal* parasitic drain is just showing up as a Yellow-Green flag. Optimate 4s are really for motorbikes (just .8 amps), so bigger batteries with bigger car drains will throw up more yellows, it's just that this is a change of status over the previous 3 years.
I'll get a amp meter across the negative connection next week. In the meantime any thoughts?
I'm not adverse to changing battery if needed, except it in a tight spot, probably a 45 min knuckle scraper, and i'd rather stretch a few more years until it really is below 90%. It's why i got a conditioner!
