Hi all.

I replaced a dead turbo on a 2.0HDi (RHR) 407 a couple of weeks ago, now the car feels a bit hesitant. I noticed when I removed the turbo there was a bit of oil in the exhaust, obviously from when the turbo bearings collapsed.

How likely is it that the oil has blocked the DPF? There is another problem which I think might not be helping. The driver has "lost" the fuel cap. Am I right in thinking the 407's regen cycle is dictated by counting the number of times the fuel cap is removed or is it the fuel filler flap is opened?

Is there any real way of cleaning the DPF or is it just a new one?

Thanks for any replies/help.
