Having used *ynn's Dry Fuel product for several years when laying up my RV8 (now 20 years old) the intention is to absorb water from the fuel tank annually and to compensate for temperature changes & condensation when garaged, I am considering whether potentially this may be causing more harm than good?

I believe the potential ethanol in this product is harmful to older style fuel lines especially when sat in the tank and fuel system for 6 months, similarly to higher ethanol content in newer fuels.

Question is am I causing the fuel system more harm than good, is the ethanol high and is it designed to be left over a period?

Any one used this stuff & able to comment on this product

I've never used it but, wouldn't it be more productive just to fill the tank up completely. The fuel will be more stable and condensation can't form.

Pretty sure they do that in aircraft to stop condensation forming in the tanks from memory ?

Its one option, but then you have a tank of degraded 6 month old fuel to deal with and a potential fire risk sitting under your house. Water still forms in the tank & its good praxctice to clear it out every so often.

My concern is the ethanol may be eating away at my fuel lines
