Replacing Boot Struts on a Meriva (applies for other models)

Firstly this is EASY, just in case you are needing to replace them, its a common fault.
Just did one in 5 minutes
Easy Steps:
1) Order Parts (as little as £13 delivered via popular online auction site)
2) Prop open boot
3) Use Flat Bladed screwdriver to pry off metal retailing clips at each end of the strut
4) Remove old Strut
5) Line up hole of new strut with ball joint on vehicle
6) Press firmly and it pops in
7) Repeat for other end of strut
Job done
No longer do you get bashed on head with heavy boot lid
