So today I have decided to do (mostly) all of the maintenence required on my 330ci myself whilst ordering the parts from C3BMW. This will save me A LOT of money.

I had an inventory of the garage and I have pretty much everything one could need except a Dremel and a torque wrench. I have a set of torque wrench "heads" in many different sizes but the actual wrench is broken, I figure I can replace the "heads" also if needed.

I have looked on Amazon but I am unsure what size torque wrench I actually need? Any recommendations?

I could also do with some kind of battery powered work light and a voltmeter, come to think of it. Any recommendations for those? Cheapest possible obviously but not by sacrificing anything.

Thanks!

I found this here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-633567-Torque-W... which has good reviews BUT one of the things I need to do is my camshaft sensors.... you torque these to 10nM / 7lb and that wrench is 28-210nM so would be useless in this application already?

I have the Silverline jobbie, I use it for wheels/brakes/plugs etc it seems okay. For something that needs such a low torque I just do it by feel.
If you're uncomfortable doing it this way spend more on a better wrench.

I bought that Silverline Torque Wrench a year or two back and I'm very happy with it.
Comes with a few extra bits and pieces that are useful.

I've got a tengtools 70-230nm and a 8-25nm torque wrench, and both are absolutely brilliant. I can't fault them whatsoever, even have a locking function on the bottom. They're on offer at screwfix at the moment for around £30 and £70, which is good as they were a lot more when I got them in 2010.

The halfords pro ones are very good (and cheap with a trade card) I had mine calibrated at work and it was as good as our snap on wrenches.

As above. I've just built a modified Tuscan engine (which should rev to 8k) with the halfords wrenches, both 3/8ths and half inch wrenches.
