As part of my Elan resoration I have had to source new UNF tools. My last trip to the uk was not a big help Halfords etc have almost nothing, but I have found all I need in small hardware shops in S E Asia. I needed a selection of UNF taps to recut/clean various threads so yesterday I went to a small hardware shop I know in Borneo, in the back all the UNF/C taps and dies nicly stood on a shelf in order so I bought the ones I wanted, to find that they were Presto brand and all made in Sheffield, marked up at Rm 14 and upward a set of 3 taps, just under 3 pounds, got that halved. These must be rare now can't think the last tool I bought that was made in Sheffield, they must be at least 30 years old new stock all the Stanley spanners I buy are Chinese made.
