Ignition restart Ford Focus CC

Wondered if anyone can help with my query, I understand you can reset the convertible roof mechanism on a 2008 Ford Focus CC as my local Ford dealer needed to do this as I was getting a malfunction message when trying to retract the roof on my Focus, the technician couldn't find a fault, they completed an ignition reset and it resolved the issue. However recently the fault has come back I think it was due to the boot being slammed shut which isn't the best way to close the boot.

I don't want to take it back to Ford as this will be the fourth time and it takes them days to do very little and is a massive inconvenience because I need my car for work.
