Hi,

I have just purchased a 1999 Toyota LC 4.2 TD Amazon and the air bag light is on, the light was on when I purchased it therefore I do not know if it has had a small bump or weather some previous work has set the light of.

Is there a known weak point or something I should investigate or can test for?

Additionally could an independant garage diagnose a fault or is it of to Toyota.

Thanks in advance

An independent should be able to handle it.
The most common cause of airbag lights tedns to be with seat belt tensioners, buckle switches, and seat mats.

Thanks for that, on close inspection it looks like a replacement (not original to the car) drivers seat belt real, I will try that first.
