Pug 307 diesel injector help neded plz

Hi all.

I am having a bit of a problem with a 1.6hdi pug injector, well all of them unfortunately. I have removed them to replace the seals, all has gone fine apart from I have had to remove the top to use the puller to get the injectors out.

Problem I have is as I've removed the injector the disk (spinning top shaped bit) has come out and brought a tiny barrel shaped piece out with it. This piece has a depression in one end, any one tell me weather this goes facing up or down please. I've tried finding out as I stripped the other injector that needed doing but it seems no mater how careful you are they always become dislodged so you can't see how they used to sit. I need to sleep but this is worrying me to death.

If you've taken the tops of them, then unfortunately they need rebuilding (by a pro) unless you are extremely lucky putting them back together.

Apparently they have to be torqued very precisely or the injector won't work properly....yes I have done this before !

Nice one, thanks for the reply. I have done a bit of investigation and they are built up okay but one is leaking off way too much fuel to allow the pump to build pressure. Unfortunately I had to pull them out because the seals had gone coating everything in sticky residue which meant the tops had to come off.
