Just bought a 4 post electrohydraulic 4 post car lift from Automotech Services. Lucky to have a garage that it will fit into with a decent concrete base. It is together and running OK, but any one thinking of buying one or something similar needs to be aware of a few things. Firstly, delivery - this is by lorry that cannot off load unless you have your own fork lift truck. The item weighs over 850kg! I tried to hire a fork lift truck but got turned down because I am not in a business and don't have insurance. Eventually got a local transport company to get it. Once in the driveway it was difficult to move the parts because of the weight of each individual bit. It is really a job for at least two well built men if not 3 or 4. There was a missing safety pulley which I spotted. The company sent me one in the post very promptly. They always responded quickly to my emails, I have to say. The instructions are, in my view, very brief and the grammar poor. The photos lack contrast and are unclear. However, with some time and thought it is together and working. It took me 4 working days to complete. You need to buy 32 grade hydraulic oil for it 10L in all. Now to work on the cars next weekend.....
