I need a multimeter - have always borrowed one before.

Can someone recommend an entry level multimeter (from eBay or Amazon) that I can use on the car electrics - current, voltage, continuity testing etc.

Don't want to spend too much.

Thanks

Bought one of these a couple of years ago & the list of features is second to none for the price.

Have used it LOTS & for one of this price to read current as high as this is quite rare, it will do more than you are likely to need.

I bought a used fluke from eBay and its perfect. Much better cash value buying used.

I'd agree with you, but I didn't really want to spend more than ~£20 , it's only for odd jobs. I recently visited my brother in NZ, and his car electrics was playing up and I managed to fix it only using a $5 meter from the local Chinese Dollar store...

If you are near to a Maplins, they sell some perfectly usable but cheap multimeters. I bought a cheapie to keep in the boot of the car.
