Home made Moxon Vise

Hi guys.

I’m intending to make a Moxon vise, similar to the one Benchcrafted sell, however being tight fisted I don’t want to buy their kit!

What I’m after is for someone to recommend a thread size for the vise.
I’m in the UK, so searching for an “Acme thread” on eBay etc doesn’t get many results, but searching Trapezoidal thread is better!
Can someone recommended the best/strongest thread and nut size for the vise?
I only really need 12″, cut into two sections!
