Re my Chrysler Crossfire convertible
Over the past couple of years, I have had the dashboard spoiler light flashing problem. (the roof wont go down, or if its down, wont go up)
With a reset the problem went away and only came back every six months or so. Now its back almost all the time. With the light off, everything works 100%, but with the spoiler light flashing, the roof wont go up or down, also the spoiler wont go up or down using the button, but strangely works fine when you drive the car (deploys at 65 mph etc.)
I have tried replacing all the relays, had the ECU tested - no problem found, so now trying to find a garage or dealer who actually KNOWS the crossfires.
I have tried various Mercedes dealers who wont even look at the car as its not a merc, (even though it is under the skin) Also tried the Chrysler dealers, including the new "Fiat" dealers who are supposed to know and support the crossfires. So far I cant find one who can recognise a crossfire let alone fix it!
So does anyone know a REAL crossfire electrical specialist - dealer, garage, independent - anyone who can help (one who actually knows- rather than the sort who just replace things until it works. I can do that!
Ideally in the Guildford, Portsmouth, Basingstoke area..
Its a 2006, convertible.
Help please!!!

all you need is someone with suitable diagnostic equipment who knows how to use it.
Have you had a diagnostic test performed on it at all or just guessed at parts?
ahhh.... thereby hangs the issue! Tried all the dealers and car electrics people / specialists I can find IE: Phillips Auto Electrical in Portsmouth who said....Have you had a diagnostic test performed on it at all or just guessed at parts?
Thank you for your email, unfortunately, we have no software for Chrysler Crossfire, and would only refer our customer to Mercedes. It would appear you have had no luck with Mercedes, but regret we are unable to help you in this instance.

Phillips Auto Electrical
So yes the test is what I need, but no one seems to have the right software for this car .....
yes tried that. I did have a merc CLK which had that problem. But not in this case. also changed all the relays, ECU been checked at ECU specialist, no problem found. Baffling!
Taking it to the only Chrysler dealer I can find who says they know crossfires, Meridien in Bournmouth next week.
