A question about tow bars

Hello everyone.
I have purchased today a second hand tow bar (Westfalia type 321 300). It says that it fits on VW Sharan. Do you guys think that it would also fit on VW Golf IV Estate? That's what I bought it for and I haven't took off the back bumper yet to check if it would fit in.

Look up the part numbers on Westfalia's website. A quick flick through would suggest no commonality of part numbers between your car & the towbar you have bought.

Maybe he hasn't got a caravan & doesn't need it anyway!

totally different platform. you'll have better luck fitting it to a Ford Galaxy

Offer it up the car and see if it will fit.

You might just need some spacers or WHY.

Totally different. Golf towbar bolts to the chassis whereas the Sharan one sits inside the chassis and the bolts screw through.
