Generator problem, Lidl / Parkside purchase

only 6 months old & my own fault really, started it up already loaded & now seem to have lost all power, circuit breaker hasn't tripped and engine runs fine but no voltage output being shown or given

bit of a foreign one for me as I'm not that used to generators, any ideas what it could be?

a quick search suggests the Voltage regulator but have no idea where to start looking for this or what to test with my DVM.

was hoping some Lidl shoppers might have experienced the same with theirs??

Taking it back in Feb would have been the best option.
If you've done nothing about it in the last 6 months you need to do it PDQ as the warranty is likely to run out - if it hasn't already.

taking back was & is not possible so some advice on what could be wrong would be ideal
