Mikalor clamps

I need to renew a broken clamp on my exhuast, where 2 sections fit into each other the clamp that fits over the section has damaged and must have caught something as its gone, bmw want £18 for the said clamp and mikalor clamp shown here is much cheaper!!

Does anyone know if you are able to split the clamp so I don't have to split the exhuast section ?

I used some a while ago and they did split when you removed the bolt

Mikalor are the best pipr clamps I've used in 50+ years ,far superior to any u bolt or other device

Mikalor does have a flap but I found you need to bend the body to get it over a pipe then bend back and fiddle for quite a while to get clamp bolt back in to thread
If your just clamping to exhaust pipes together a U clamp is the easiest

+1 fiddly, U-clamp would be preferable!

whatever you get, get stainless or you will be back to square one in 3months time

as said they do split, ive never found them to be fiddly to get back together though? maybe you guys arent used to getting things into small holes
