Makita Vs DeWalt
Discussion
Looking at power tools for work (on boats)
Mainly a cordless drill-driver capable of prolonged use on steel/alloy/iron, wood and GRP
+
A palm sander mainly for flatting back large areas for hours on end.
So DeWalt or Makita?
Li-ion or Ni-cad
(the big sanders and corded drills are provided I need the smaller gear for tighter spaces)
I narrowed it down to these:
Sander: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Makita-BO4555-240V-Palm-Sa...
Drill: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Makita-DHP456RMWX-Li-Ion-C...
Sander: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dewalt-240V-Sheet-Orbital-...
Drill: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dewalt-Lithium-Ion-2-Speed...
And maybe one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/DeWalt-D26480-Compact-Belt...
So which/what ones should I/would you have?

Under £100, 2 batteries, 20 min charge, can't beat it.

Only 1.3amp batteries, so won't last too longhttp://www.diy.com/nav/fix/power-tools/drills-driv...
Also, Makita has widely reported reliability issues with their litihium batteries
Id buy ryobi or makita over de walt personally, the ryobi drills are very good value and they use the one system which is handy too.
Just look for the higher capacity batteries, i bought a ryobi twin pack with 1.3Ah batteries and although run time is good if i were using on heavier work id want a little better.
