I'm mid build of a garage / 2 story extention with the view to having a ramp for working under the car.
The ceiling hight is 11 ft so can also use it as a two car garage, ( under/over)
I've been looking at 4 and 2 post ramps but not sure which way to go?
4 post can use drip trays so no oil on the car below, and 2 post has wheels free and better access
The concrete base is 7" reenforced with celotex under
What are your thoughts?

Check with any suppliers what base is required.

how big is the garage? If its big enough to get two cars in side by side then you can use a scissor lift and still drive over it when its down. I have parked an Elise and a 7 series side by side in my garage. There are no floor loading issues with these either. The only disadvantage I find is if I have to work on the sills, which is rare these days. on the occasions I have needed to, I have just used some blocks.

Or local garage has a four post, a couple of 2 post, and three scissor lifts, by far the most popular with the mechanics are the scissor lifts. you can get double height ones, but I went for medium height one as I don't have the headroom.
