Good evening.

Probably in the wrong thread, but...

Does anyone have any advice on a decent set of goggle that I can wear over normal glasses for grinding etc which don't fog up rapidly, stay scratch-free and will fit over my rather wide glasses?

Many thanks.

As a fellow speccy git, I'd recommend a visor like this instead of glasses. It protects your face as well as your eyes, stops crap dropping in your gob when your working under a car, and stops stones and grit marking your face when you're using a strimmer.

Speaking from personal experience, don't bother with safety glasses. Fully enclosed goggles are the only way forward.

I was cutting up some scrap aluminium one day, thought I was doing the right thing wearing safety glasses. An aluminium spark hit me in the cheek, bounced up behind the glasses and hit me in the eye.

Never again. Goggles are the only way.

Time to do some shopping. I like the idea of the ones with arms rather than a wrap-around band, as they are easier to put on and take off, and the pair I've got have a stretched band which is knackered! I think I'll buy a few pairs and replace them when they get scratched. Thanks for the replies.
