Sounds like the immobiliser isnt releasing, quite a common fault. Have you got a spare key/card to try?

If the immobiliser light is flashing, changing a crank sensor isn't going to cure the problem rolleyes
You need someone to come along and plug their computer in and see what the problem with the immobiliser is, may need just a reset or could need the key reprogramming.

Hi There the immobilizer light does not flash when cranking it stays on all the time if the battery is low on the vehicle could that stop the spark to the plugs as the battery is sluggish when cranking .

When you turn the ignition on before cranking the immo light should come on then go off, if it starts flashing it means the immo hasn't released and there is a problem.

Edit, just got home and had a look at some info, if the immo light flashes or stay's on after 3-5 seconds of turning ignition on it means there is an immobiliser problem

If it's a Megane II (uses a card and not a key) then it won't generally crank if it's immobilised.
