Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced torque wrench? Ive got a small 5-20Nm 1/4 drive one, but need something a bit larger for doing brakes, wheel nuts etc.
Would have just gone for a Halfords Pro to match my socket set but they seem to have gone up in price since I last looked.

How much are they now? I've a trade card so instead of 79.99 it was 34.99 brand new.

Hmm, will need to go in with someone thats got a trade card then, the Halfords ones would be ideal.

This is good value, may be cheaper elsewhere.

I bought a 40Nm to 200Nm halfords pro torque wrench a few weeks ago. List was £75, I paid about £60 with my trade card. Decent torque wrenches for the price. Calibrated at work and spot on.

I might go for that Teng one.
The one I already have us a 5-25, the Teng is 40-200. The smaller Teng is 20-110.
Is there anything in a range of 20-200 then I would be able to cover everything with just purchasing a single wrench instead of two?

To answer my own question, theres a Sealey digital that does it for about £100, id rather buy the 2 Teng ones for £45 each.

The Halfords ones are very, very good.
I have 2 and have had them for years. Really pleased with them.

In a bench test some years back, they kicked ass on use and accuracy.
Theyre nice to use too and very easy to set and lock at a torque.

Done a bit more research, ordered the Sealey.

Its the Sealey STW306, digital, 20-200Nm range, 1/2" drive.
The previous version got good reviews, and its reduced by quite a bit just now. The 1/4" I have is a Sealey as well and been happy with it.

Thanks for opinions on this: picked up the Halfords Pro 8-60Nm - £39.99 with trade card
