Hi all
Just after some advice/reasurance really
So today I decided to give the aircon a rest and have a drive with windows down, I like to listen every now and again for noises etc.
Glad I did as well, I noticed a rubbing kind of sound when cornering left (hard to describe, just a hish hish kinda sound), no grinding no clunking no groaning, just the hish hish rubbing sound, that iv noticed .
Ive checked and can't see any signs of rubbing and mot was last month (I know thats no reason to rule out susp failure) but all seems sound.
In your opinions is this worth worrying about, could it be steering pump or wheel about to fall off like some poor sod the other week??
The brakes do clunk in reverse on first tap of the pedel if its related.
Car is audi a4 tdi 2007.

Thank you
Regards
Nigel

I would be agreeing with that, but obviously keep an eye (or rather ear) out for any changes.

hey guys
thanx for the replies.
this was my first thought, however it dosent sound metallic.
its strange to explain without hearing, but almost sounds like a sticker is stuck on one part of the tyre, does that make sense??
ive checked the joints nd boots and all APPEARS fine nd dont seem to be any play.
Only other thing is,i do have budget Landsail tyres on front, maybe this??

Regards
Nigel
