Hi guys,

My air conditioning stopped working. In my quest to find out why, I opened my fuse box under the bonnet. The fuse for the air con is fine, but I spotted the rusty connector in my pictures below. When I poked the rust with a cocktail stick it was all white and gooey underneath. What is my problem and is it serious?

Thanks a lot.

Is the goo actually dielectric paste?

Thanks for the replies guys. It turns out it's grease/paste/goo which is to stop the connections arcing. It was done as part of a recall a while ago - apparently there are too many high current connections in a small space. I just got a fright when I saw it yesterday!

Thanks again.
