Are you sure the water pump is circulating the water?
Does the engine bubble over if left idling with fan running?

You can see a flow of water returning in the expansion chamber just ran car for hour with fan running it was fine pipes only warm to touch when I reconnect sensor fan will cut out as it should until it reaches temp but fan dose not kick in and light on dash will not come on to worn you

I'm inclined to agree with ADEuk and suspect the water pump. I'm not too familiar with the Fiesta but I don't think you should see water flowing through the expansion bottle. The hoses should be hot to the touch with the car warmed up. Does the radiator become very hot to the touch when warmed up? It should.

Ye if I run it without fan running ie put wire back on temp switch it gets so hot I almost burst a pip the pips got so hot if you undo cap on expansion chamber with car running there is a pipe on bottom and one coming in on the top the top one has a flow of water so I believed it to be flowing ie pump is working is this wrong I'm not sure just guessing

Surely it's just a duff sensor? Not unknown for them to fail.
